Itinerary

Upon arrival, meet and greet with the guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Luang Prabang is a peaceful provincial city, which serves as the spiritual capital of Laos. There is little traffic on the roads of Luang Prabang and monks in orange robes slowly walk through the alleys protecting themselves from the sun with their umbrellas. This evening, pick up from the hotel and transfer to dine at one of the best restaurants in Luang Prabang, L’Elephant. Offering a beautiful fusion between french and laotian cuisine, the dishes use local ingredients mostly sourced from the owner’s gardens. Overnight in Luang Prabang

After breakfast, transfer to the Luang Prabang Golf Club, located just 15 minutes from the city center protected by UNESCO World Heritage, and along the mighty Mekong River, at the foot of the mountains.

The hills and valleys overlooking the great Mekong River provide a magnificent setting for this truly unique golf course, with a highly strategic and challenging 18-Hole, par 72, championship golf course with 7,443 yards layout. There are spectacular views over the picturesque heritage town and the course layout is reminiscent of established mountain links. Offering a great experience for every golfer regardless of one’s score, the holes are both memorable and well designed, featuring undulating fairways and well protected greens. Multiple varieties of trees, shrubs and natural vegetation add seasonal color to the verdant splendor of the golf course. Transfer back to the hotel in Luang Prabang. At the hotel, enjoy an hour-long treatment, including 30 minutes of radiant body care and 30 minutes of revitalizing face care. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Luang Prabang

For early risers, there is a very special visit at dawn to watch the monks collect alms. As the sun begins to rise, long rows of orange-clad monks leave their pagodas and walk barefoot through the streets to collect offerings from the residents of Luang Prabang. It is a very beautiful and serene ceremony that highlights the spirituality of the people of Laos. Return to the hotel for breakfast.

This morning, enjoy a half-day guided tour of Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The guide will arrive at your hotel at 09:00 for pick up. Start the tour of the city with the old Royal Palace, now the National Museum and discover the history of Laos. Continue on foot to the Wat Mai, a temple famous for its bas-relief of gold, and the Wat Sensoukarahm, which has a beautiful dazzling golden facade. End the visit with Wat Xieng Thong, the most revered temple in Luang Prabang. Located at the end of the peninsula, near the Mekong, this temple was built in 1560 by King Setthathirat and is decorated with sculptures and mosaics. Then transfer to the hotel and refresh for the afternoon.

Meet the guide again this afternoon at the hotel around 16:30 for a private transfer to the pier. Board the Nava Mekong, a traditional river boat, for a shared cruise on the majestic Mekong River, starting around 17:00. Cruise at a quiet pace and witness the rural and simple lifestyles people abide by along the river. As the sun sets and brings hues of orange and red out of the river, the spectacular and peaceful scenery is unforgettable. During the return cruise, a selection of typical Laotian dishes will be served on board. The return to Luang Prabang will take about 1.5 hours, the arrival is scheduled around 19:30.
